Only 681 units were exported to the Middle East, Africa and to a few islands. Records suggest 30 vehicles are still known in Europe, and which existence I can prove. In total I am expecting about 50. The condition of some of these SP-2's, however, is worrying.
After Nigeria, the vehicles were delivered as CKD kits. It is not documented how many of the units were assembled and how many had to be kept for spare part donor vehicles. This fact is one reason why the production figures, vary depending on the publication.
15 vehicles were exported to the Dominican Republic (Caribbean). Of these 15 none are recorded as having survived, having been lost to corrosion or extreme climate conditions. It may well be the case that in many places the cars have suffered a similar fate.
